Microcenter now carrying the 27" 2560x1440 Korean IPS monitors - Page 15

DVI and possibly VGA speedy. Although VGA is all but useless on this monitor. Very very very few monitors include HDMI and none that I know of (short of maybe the ACD) come with Displayport.

EDIT: Just double checked, DVI and VGA.

Got one today. Very comparable image to the HP zr2740w. A touch more backlight glow on dark screens and a bit more saturation out of the box. Both connected to an XFX Radeon 6870 via DisplayPort.

I don't do any FPS gaming, so I can't comment too much on input lag. None that I could notice. My scientific test involved spanning a window across both monitors and dragging rapidly up and down. They stayed in sync as far as I could tell. On my other machine I have the HP paired up with an old Dell 2001FP, and there is obvious lag on the Dell doing the same window jiggling.

I did notice that the Auria takes a couple seconds to change resolutions, compared to the HP which is pretty much instant.

I ran a stopwatch test on both monitors concurrently, snapping pics while it was running. I don't know how valid this test is, but it showed no difference between the two.

HDMI, DVI, VGA, DisplayPort inputs (DVI and VGA are hidden behind the stand - crappy design but seems common in cheap monitors.)

Oh and the built in speakers just worked over DisplayPort, no tweaking required. Nice bonus.

Good work austinpike. I liked your method of testing them, it's exactly what I would have done, lol.

I'm connecting to this thing from my Dell E6420 through the E-Port docking station.
The E-Port does not have DL DVI so I'm using the DP. I have both a DP cable that came with my Dell 2408, and a DP-to-DL DVI active adatper (Accell).
The DP-to-DVI adapter works well, although when recovering from sleep I may have to unplug and replug the USB cable that supplies power to the adapter, in order to bring the screen back.
The DP cable works, but only immediately after I unplug the adapter and plug in the DP cable. If I leave the DP cable connected, after a sleep the screen does not come back. The LED light will turn green for a while, as if it gets a signal, but then it says "No Signal" and the LED turns red/orange again.
Any experience regarding the weird DP cable behavior? Could it be my cable?

If you find an Austin/RR HEB that sells them, please post the info, Austinite here as well, I would rather not have to drive to DFW or Houston to pick one up.
