I've been doing some research online, and there seems to be quite a few people with the same issue. Has anyone here had the problem?

Wat.

Also, they won't work with internal mac graphics. Should have read the info

Since when won't they work with internal mac graphics? The thunderbolt display is nearly identical, and my macbook pro is capable of driving two of them via thunderbolt.

Is MicroCentre an American brand? I'm confused.

Microcenter is a chain like BestBuy. I believe they only have U.S. locations:

Not sure if his will work with the monitor but people have gotten the achievas, the catleaps to work on macs. All that's needed is a Displayport to dual link dvi adapter..

picked up 2 of these yesterday and first one came out looking nice. second had a stuck pixel that was really noticeable so swapped it out this morning for another. this third one has a perfect pixel screen like the first but i just noticed a little clear plastic piece near the power button where the led light shines through is either missing of lodged back in the case because it's just empty holes. the 'down' button doesn't work either it is stuck hard like it is not even a real button. hence the plastic piece may be stuck behind in there or something. other buttons all seem fine. don't know if i want to just deal with it since the screen looks flawless or if i should try luck again for a fourth one. or maybe open up the case and see if piece is in there or what. either way i think i can still manage all the functions of the osd without the down button.

also let me say all in all these things are great imo. i had my eye on the dell 2711 for a while and was always planning to spend the money eventually. then started reading about these korean ebay brands and was hesitant but probably would have gone for some. but power brick/cord issues and the shipping back and forth for problems and the dead/stuck pixel issue and the fact that none of them really had display port or warranty action were serious drawbacks (my graphics card runs 2 on display port but only has 1 dual link dvi so would have needed adapters and boy those looked expensive). i think i like the crossover with the white metal case backs the best because they look kind of cool and bezels looked thin but they were almost $400 each and had all the drawbacks from above.

the auria case is kind of ugly.. looks like my 5 year old samsung plasma with the swoopy bottom and thick glossy bezel. but my old asus 24" tn panel looked worse honestly and bezel scratched easier and they were wobbly and had just as crappy of buttons. i think i can live with these things up in my cave room just fine.. though i prefer the apple cinema display look or the simple high quality plastic / thin bezel look of the dell. the panel being so close to the same makes up for it completely imo when you can buy 2 for the price of one.

and the panels.. seem great. all have a fair bit of backlight or glow or whatever mostly from the lower right. black level is not perfect but the contrast is great and dark scenes look good enough. still better than my old tn asus. also i see a bit of a something weird about an inch up from the bottom of all of these but barely noticeable. maybe it's just a bit of backlight design unevenness. doesn't really bother me at all during usage. they are a bit blue for sure but easily fixed. the osd menu is fairly good and nice to have when i would have lost it completely with the korean versions. the one had that stuck pixel but the other two are great and i haven't noticed any dead pixels on any of them but i try not to look for those too hard. reflective as hell but will get better window coverings and deal with that. screens look incredibly clean without ag coating and now i see why some people complain about dingyness sometimes.

this really does feel like the sweet spot when you use these things versus a 24" 1080p or 24" 1200p (i have hp lp2465 at work) they feel like a good step up. i guess this panel's love on this small cult level is still young but as fast as some electronics industries move.. i have no idea why other manufacturers aren't slapping these in cases and selling them in the usa. i guess lg themselves may release their ips 4 line at some point and maybe it'll beat these aurias at the game but i kind of doubt initial pricing will be $400 from an lg version and i was ready to get some 1440p in my life asap.

Those people were using iMacs, not macbooks. macbooks do not have compatible video cards driving them.

Yes... yes they do.

The current macbook pros are using intel HD3000 graphics, which is sufficient.

That's where I get my evidence from. Intel graphics are not listed because they don't support it.
