It does make sense that all the HD5000 series reference cards have dual-link DVI and whoever made the chart is incorrect.
I've already stated this to him a few times, he then uses the chart as proof.

I'm using an ATI 6950 to drive it with the included DVI cable. Is there any advantage to using display port?

Displayport lets you use more than 2 monitors. HDMi/DVI would require active adapters.

How is the input lag on this model, with all the extra inputs and a scaler?

I've been playing a lot of Diablo 3 on it and had no issues with input lag. I did have to ensure that scaling was being done on the display in the nvidia control panel settings for the monitor (when set to GPU I got some background redraw stuttering).

However, I just noticed some horizontal banding in the screen. I'd like to see if anyone else with this monitor notices this (maybe it's just a polarization issue with the glossy coating...)

Open mspaint and maximize the window, then drag the canvas size to encompass the entire display.

Now use the bucket tool and fill in the entire area with black.

Look very closely at the monitor (6 inches or closer), you may have to adjust your viewing angle a few times to get the right light.

Look for horizontal banding in the black.

If anyone else can verify findings and report back, it would be appreciated. Thanks!

people have said that the multiple input models with scaler (from any manufacturer) have about 3 times the lag so probably somewhere around 18-20ms.

Here is the banding i'm getting from playing a 720p video. For whatever reason It doesn't show up on my 1080p videos so i thought it was just GoT. I'll try to get some better pics when the sun sets.

Here's the info for the EQD Auria:

http://eqdcorp.com/monitors-27

I'm pretty sure it's just another brand of the Korean monitors but at least it would have the proper AC adapter and since they have office in the U.S. so at least warranty is less of a concern.
