Hardforum

Never had catalyst but they seem to discuss it in that link.

I'll comment on motion blur, input lag, and overall gaming experience for the few games I played today. First, let me say that Team Fortress 2 is probably the most retarded and most addicting game ever. That said, game play smooth as silk, no input lag that I could notice (very responsive mouse controls, very fluid game play). I didn't notice any degradation in image quality during fast movement scenes. I also played Planetside 2. Again, very responsive, high quality gaming experience (outside of the fact that driving the vehicles is crap). I didn't, however, enjoy either of those games as much as other shooters I've played. Either way, monitor has handled everything I've thrown at it with ease thus far. I think I'll be keeping it biggrin.gif

I ran some BF3 earlier and couldn't tell anything was different. Didn't seem to be a lot of lag or anything. Ultra settings on a single GTX680 (no OC) was running 99% usage with 45-52 FPS using 1.91GB VRAM

... speaking of misinformation...

Can you point to any link/review/discussion of any IPS monitor that says it has better blacks than a TN panel?
Can you point to any link/review/discussion of this monitor that says it is anything less than a "real" IPS?

Did you see either post where I directly compared it to another IPS monitor with basically the same panel?

Ideally, you ought to have it showing 60 squares.

Then, take a long exposure (0.5s?) picture. If all the bars are shown, then your monitor is not skipping frames. If some of the bars are black, then your monitor is skipping frames.

The program flashes a white bar for 1 frame then turns it black while turning the next bar white - essentially a visual counter. So long as you see each and every white box, your monitor is actually displaying all the frames that it is supposed to be displaying.

I just bought and I am currently downloading BF3. So we'll see how my GPU/PC handles the game with this monitor. I'll update in like 5 hours when the DL is done (doh!)mad.gif
