I'm trying to understand why they are comparing 1000 dollar laptops (And above with dedicated graphics i7s) with laptops that are going to be half the price.
Why arent they comparing the i3 with the HD3000 and 4000 that are much closer in price range to what we expect from trinity. If im going to spend that kind of money on a laptop I am going to get an ASUS g74 or a SAGER not this crap they are benchmarking blowing away Trinity.
If I am going to spend 500 to 600 bucks Trinity is looking really good for that.

It's nice to see that AMD delivered well with Trinity. Let's see who is getting my laptop money for a Trinity soon? Good job AMD.
Because Intel's equally priced hardware isn't even in the same universe as Trinity and thus no one would ever consider it unless all they do is crunch numbers 24/7. That's about all it's good for.
Trinity will sell as fas as they can make them - just like Llano and Brazos.

Yeah but your results are expected in your case. You're talking about a 1.2Ghz speed increase to make up for the worse IPC, and tri-core parts have always been flaky in some games\apps.
A 1090T@4Ghz w\2800+NB is a much better Phenom II example and going from that to BD is a sidegrade.

High clock with the same TDP doesn't matter because it takes a 35 watt TDP Trinity to even get close to a 17 watt TDP SB CPU.Wouldn't you rather have a lower clocked yet faster SB that will produce less heat and won't drain your battery?
