Throttling RAM? Two Different Types.

Thread Starter
Is there a way to do this? I have two different types of Ram different sizes and different companies and different speeds...

I have 4 gigs of ram at 1600 2-2gig sticks

and I have two sticks of 4 gig ram at 1333...

Is there a way to temporarily run these two together?

They will run together at the speed of the slower sticks.

Put the slower ones into the set of slots closest to the memory controller.

If that doesn't work, you'll have to set the speed, timings, and voltage manually to those for the slower sticks.
