Do you guys think this matters alot in FPS gaming?

And which mice have a short travel distance?

Mouse button travel distance? You mean the time it takes to move your finger and press a (side) button? I know I personally have the Razer Naga with 12 side buttons and I never had any problems in FPS gaming, on the contrary, I loved it, all the important things at the disposal of my mouse-hand.

But to answer your question: no, I don't think it matters. What does matter, though, with your mouse, is what you find important about a mouse. If you're the kinda guy that wants to only move the mouse a centimeter in order to move the characters view almost 180° in order to see behind you almost instantly, or you could be a guy that wants a very very precise grip. We can't predict that for you, you gotta decide that for yourself. smile.gif

Well what I mean is the the time it takes from when you press a button to when it actually registers the press, if that makes sense lol

Im actually trying to factor many things into my choosing of a mouse, this is just one of the factors

if your a flinched based player then possible, but ultimately it should barely make a difference at least not in the online areas because of latency and all.

But barely is a difference...

Almost neglegible difference. Cheaper mouses probably have a longer delay but your brain learns how to deal with and you'll just click a little bit earlier to compensate.

that's exactly it, its negligible like i said before your latency to a server takes away that extra ms of travel distance.

Im with you, with what you saying, but lets say my latency is different to theres, is there not a millisecond of travel distance coming into play now, IE one of our pings is lower then the other.

Ok, im asking this because im getting good at BF3 and need to do anything, no matter how small, to improve

BF3 is a pretty clunky game. Fast clicking will not help you that much.
