Are these just rehashed 500s? I just bought a GT 520 for my HTPC; hopefully I'm not "missing" anything by not having one of these.

No. If these have the Keplar architecture, the 630 would be grossly underpowered with only 96 CUDA cores (arguably 48 CUDA cores depending on who you ask).

I figured, the specs don't seem all that much better than the last versions.

Thanks

I would love to see the release of a 650 Ti, or something that offers the same performance of the 550Ti with lower power consumption.

Get the 7750, it runs off of board power and is the same speed as a 5770. The 550 Ti might be a little ahead of the 5770 (550 Ti is just an overclocked GTS 450), depends on the game. Counting on Nvidia to make a decent low-power card - when's the last time they did that? AMD/ATi held the crown since at least 4670.

edit- the 7770 offers more performance than the 550 Ti, pretty close to a GTX 460 768mb, and still less power consumption. Actually, the 6850 even uses less power than the 550 Ti, and it's even faster (uses more power than 7770). http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/ASUS/HD_7750/24.html

I remember people already knew about the lower end 600 series cards being rebrands. Was in the news a long time ago.
