6 fans for my rad - Page 2

If you don't mind a thicker 38mm fan, I have heard good things about the Sanyo Denki San Ace 120 120 x 38mm. http://www.svc.com/9g1212h1011.html

Scythe Slipstreams are low static pressure fans, and optimized for open case airflow. They lose a lot of their CFM rating once you start using them on radiators. An 1850 RPM Gentle Typhoon or a Yate Loon spinning at 1800 RPM will push more air through the radiator than the Slipstream turning at 1900 RPM.

You should check this out.

The only one in that group I'm familiar with is the R4, and it performs fairly well. Nothing like the Gentle Typhoons I replaced them with though.

thanks for the link i will look at this after work but now i googled a little bit and saw the gentle typhoon 1850rpm is really well rated.i found those for 19$ will cost more then i tought but if its

worth it i dont mind paying more.the coolermaster R4 is weird the static pressure rating is so much higher then other fans there is probably something behind that i dont know of.

there is so much choice for fans loll confuse me a lot but like you said the R4 is great but nothing like the GT i should go with those i guest?since i finaly found those in a canadian store.

Manufacturers fudge specs all the time, since the average person cannot test it themselves. Coolermaster (as much as I like their cases) fudge their specs significantly. There is absolutely no way the R4 fans only put out 19 dBA. Pretty much the only fans with accurate specs are the Gentle Typhoons, Yate Loons, Sanyo Denki and San Ace.

you might want to look for some reviews on water cooling fans. theres a lot
of information here and i'm not sure its all correct.. it is your money, and you
might wanna get a little more technical info.. so good luck with your hunt.
