Intel HD4000 Displayport issue

Thread Starter
So on my motherboard I have an HDMI and a Displayport output using Intel HD4000 graphics.

I have 2 Samsung SA550 Monitors. They have VGA and HDMI ports.

I have a HDMI to HDMI cable and it works perfectly.

I also have a displayport to HDMI cable and I can't get that monitor to work.

This is the cable I bought.

Did I get the wrong cable or am I doing something wrong?

Just wondering, you don't think the HD4000 is a bit of a bottleneck do you?
EDIT: Also how are you trying to run the monitors? My integrated doesn't cope with 2+ VGA out at 720 for some reason.

I don't plan on running them off of the integrated for long. Just wanted 2 displays for the time being before ordering a graphics card.

I think the issue is not having an active display port cable ...
