i have a HP laptop for a while now that i don't use too often and just looking to see what it would go for. its a HP dv6308nr that i have upgraded the memory, cpu, wireless card, and hard drive. im not sure if i want to let the hard drive go but i do have the stock one still. also it would most likely come with no OS unless they want linux. i have been running linux Mint 12 on it for the last 6 months or so without any problems,
everything works in it. there are however some scratches and nice chip on the top cover as it has been used but nothing preventing it from working. one of the times when i was taking it apart to upgrade i ended up snapping one of the trim pieces under the screen next to the hinge but its barely visible and doesn't affect it from preforming. screen is also 100%, no dead pixels.
when the laptop hasn't been used or plugged in for around a week it dose run the battery down and resets the bios but i dont see anything major about that. i also have a 2nd battery. for it. both of the batteries are around 75% ware usage and last 1.5-2 hours on the battery.
its not a gaming laptop and will not play any game well as i have tried, but it dose videos well and other light tasks. would be a good laptop for a kid/student.
