Draconian DRM supporter! Vote with your wallet!!!

Noone likes always online DRM! Haven't you heard?

Why do we have to use another DRM platform just for their games?!??!??!

If we support that, then EVERYBODY will do it!!!

Make a petition to put Diablo 3 on Steam!!!

Wow... if any other company uses always-online DRM, the entirety (almost) of OCN will soon be dogpiling on it and go all "reliz on Steam!1!!".
Now their cherished, beloved Blizzard does it, and people will be happy to make up all kinds of excuses for a company that has almost a decade worth of experience in handling huge user loads and funds to hell and back, and for a game that shouldn't require a connection for single player in the first place. rolleyes.gif

I hadn't thought I'd be one of those people, but... OCN, sometimes... Jesus.

EDIT: Oh, and guess what, the only connection-related problem pirates find themselves encountering is not downloading the game fast enough. After that, they're happily playing.

Be proud you are one of "those" people.

If that's what it takes to not be a hypocrite with no backbone who wont "stand up" for something unless everyone else (the rest of the herd) is doing it, I'll gladly be one of "those people" for the rest of my life.

So as I was saying.

When can we get a few petitions going here?

Anyone up for making a few barely true, opinion based blog posts so I can post them up as news?

To be clear, I meant "one of those people complaining about the OCN user base".
What you are saying, of course, is self-evident.

Meh, I've logged almost 24hrs of play from launch until about 9:00PM last night. It took me about an hour after servers went live to get connected, which was frustrating, but certainly acceptable in my book. I played uninterrupted for 7 hours after getting logged in for the first time, no lag, no disconnects.

The few small segments of "Emergency Maintenance" should have been expected, and didn't really both me either. Overall I've had a great experience with the launch, and have no complaints for a game this huge.

Quit yer whining biggrin.gif

Noone is whining.

We are (supposed to be) voting with our wallets against always online DRM!!

Infact, people should demand refunds in order to fight against always online DRM.

If Blizzard can do this and have their game be the most pre-ordered (pc) game ever (on Amazon), that means other publishers will do it too, but it will be too late to complain then because you already validated it by supporting it!!

I posted this in the other thread but I think its important enough to warrant reposting it here. This launch is completely unacceptable and the product we were given is Diablo 0.30. I am not a diablo fan. I never played Diablo and first saw it a few weeks ago. I knew it existed but I hated RPGs before. This product is a joke and has so many problems. I have no idea how the Diablo 3 fanbase is OKAY with all the things they have been forced to accept or been taken away by Blizzard. Do you have no spine? PvP wont exist for a long time, Hardcore is tainted by lag, and the game is made so simple with the story being lame (imo and a friends). This is what happens to your beloved franchise when you dont aggressively attack Blizzard and create petitions and forums and videos etc to make sure your game isn't strip mined for stockholders cash.

GG

Its pretty stupid to have this on a launch day. Im playing with a friend who loved Diablo 2 and he said the game feels like it was dumbed down severely and the story was lame. I mean they let you beat Diablo on normal, then you are just grinding? I really don't like being able to see the entire game on an easy difficulty, I hope on hell or inferno there is some added depth but really I dont care about Diablo storyline.

It was extremely laggy yesterday night and there has been so much downtime. I can only imagine how many people died on hardcore. But this is what you get for not defending your game like the SC2 community. Diablo 3 fans didnt demand DRM free and actually seem to support the choices Blizzard made, instead of defending their game FROM Blizzard. If you look at the SC2 community we still fight for LAN and all the features we had almost 13years ago that were stripped. Diablo 3 doesnt even have pvp and hardcore mode is ruined by the fact that lag and server stability which are out of your control can cause you to lose! Diablo 3 fans have no balls.

DONT LET BLIZZARD OR ANY GAME COMPANY TAKE THINGS OUT!!!!!!!! Or gaming is going to die if we dont fight for it. The stockholders and EA/Activision make demands and if we don't they are gonna get their way which is slash and burning every franchise we love. If you want the games you love to die keep allowing the game companies to strip features and add DRM.

You lose, you get nothing, good day sir!

Its been down around 12hours or more with extreme lag for a few hours as well, like 500+ms and sever lag spikes. What if you got to the grocery store and it was closed for 1hr because of lag?

Maybe for you, launch until now I've seen it down less than 7 hours total, with zero lag. 120-160ms.
