Wow that maxed out quickly...oh well. If you want to give it another shot, you can try to drop the vcore down one notch and see if it boots and is stable through a few minutes of prime. That would drop the temps a few degrees if it's stable

And I'll attempt to help you with your Raid question when I get out of the shower. And if you want to speed up that RAM a lil bit, then I'll tell you how to do that too, it helps particularly if you play newer/more graphic intensive games.

also my case has a 120mm fan bottom front
1 90mm fan in the side middle
2 90mm fans middle back case
290mm fans in the PSU
then the 110mm in the huge heatsink.

but out of the case fans i have the 120mm and the 90 in the side blowing in and the 2 in the back blowing out.... however i think that im not getting enough air into the machine because i have the 2 90's going out in the back but then you have the PSU also sucking air out of the case.

im thinking of buying a new case anyways something with huge amounts of space and places to put alot of fans. right now my cpu sounds like a hair dryer. i dont mind the noise just want it to be as cool as it can be

i brought the vcore down to 1.375
ran prime for 2 minutes and temps reached 64 =( but this was at 90% and i hardly ever use that anyways. most of the things i do my comp is at idle or up to 50% usage.... i dont play many games like i used to. now pretty much using it for storage for a surveillance system =)

but my MB never reached above 32 =)

I find that amazing that you get 64*C with an AC Freezer7 Pro with your CPU vcore @1.375 and 3.6Ghz OC... I'm using stock intel crappy cooling with 1.4000vcore and 4.005Ghz OC as well as double your L2 cache and I only get up to 55*C.

I think you need to reseat your heatsink with some AS5 and maybe rearrange some cables so you get better airflow to your CPU. 64* is dispicable for the AC Freezer7 under any circumstances. I would definately recommend getting more air to the CPU and moving ANY obstructions away from the HSF. Also, is your AC Freezer installed correctly? With the fan blowing thru the fins and toward the back of the case out the 90mm's? That's so weird that it's so high...

Yea tell me about it. My PC is worth ~$700 now and I built it in December/January! But yea you might want to check into reseating the heatsink again. And yes, Ceramique is good, but Arctic Silver 5 is the best for HSF application, it's made by the same company of Ceramique.

I would also suggest sitting down with your pc for about an hour with the side panel off rearranging IDE cables/power cables/you name it in order to get more air to that heatsink. You say you have a 90mm fan blowing in from the side? I would think that if the path is clear, then it would get some cool air to the AC Freezer... And don't worry about the rear 90's, they're perfect where they are. Try to decongest your case as much as possible, it will do a world of good.
