i don't really think you can call buying something cheap and moving its location to a different website to sell it to consumers at a higher price "making a living" in the traditional, or ethically viable, sense.
it's fundamentally different from the standard supplier>retail relationship because suppliers often genuinely are too distant, or only produce in quantities too large, for individual customers to be reasonable or cost effective to buy from. many retailers really do save you money buy buying and transporting in bulk to cut costs, and adding a percentage to the sale price lower than the individual cost for you to do it yourself.
