Free market capitalism =\= crony, government regulated "capitalism" that we have in America today.

Anyway, this is good that they actually got their money but terrible that they had to sue activision to get what they were promised.

The lawsuit has yet to reach trial. Here's another article about the $42 million payout:
Quote:
Bruce Isaacs, attorney for the Infinity Ward Employee Group, confirmed that the payment was made, reported Polygon.

"I can confirm for you that it happened today," he said. "I can also tell you that although it is a meaningful payment it is only a small portion of what we are seeking in litigation. It is outrageous that they made us wait, they obviously knew they owed the money and this just shows that they breached the contract."

Background on all of the various lawsuits can be found on IW's Wikipedia page.

The wording chosen by the author for the article title is really bad.

Yes, you are reading my post wrong. In it Activision gives the former Inifity Ward employees $42,000,000, only Activision had covered the money in feces, coated it in Arsenic, wrote a nasty letter that they then taped to the money before giving it to them.

Probably because compared to what Activision got from the CoD series (someone said $1 billion) it is.If Activision give $42M then from the CoD series alone they will still have $958,000,000 left.

Yeah what banks need is LESS regulation. That definitely worked when Bush and Clinton deregulated the banking and investment system in the US.

Look into the Savings and Loan crisis, when hundreds of bankers went to prison for committing crimes on a much smaller scale than the 600+ trillion derivatives scam they are pulling now. The banks back then were awarded 200 billion only, after which they went on a massive bribing spree and bought the best government their money could buy. Now the banks have trillions upon trillions of credit default and interest rate swaps, which they've created in order to destroy entire nations and the world for their own greed. In fact they have created over ten times (some say 15 and over) the world's GDP in derivatives. In their fantasy world of impunity it's very much possible because Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan are, in effect, the banks that control the Federal Reserve of New York.

As for capitalism: I love it. Price fixing, monopolies, lobbies (bribes and swindles), cartel forming, etc. are absolutely fantastic. The only difference between the Milton Friedman and Keynes version of unchecked money hoarding and any other -ism is our delusions and the propaganda being blasted at us.

I recommend anyone wishing to understand this system better look into the lectures of Chossudovsky, the documentary The Money Masters and, of course, the Zeitgeist films.
The girlfriend.
