Actually they are clean I didnt use anything glue on it. I must say i used but with the part of the socket that says "foxxcom am3+" to see if i could put that part together but i couldnt so i let it like that.

im not sure about putting it ontop the pins but you could get an old am3 board thats bust n try take the retension off (the white one in my pic) and align it up with the cpu in it and try, i mean i take no responsibility.

i have to change my socket as previous owner used glue lol otherwise i would have done that.

I'm not sure if it will work as the CPU sits on the tray n then pushes into the pins. I would try n see if the CPU would sit in and fit.


Just realised, the hsink will be to short, that tray/mechanism adds height to the socket.

Ask at your local comp shop if they have a broken board you can scavenge from
