'Cause I would like to know if it is safe to put 1.175v for H24.
(Curiously, I see no one write his core voltage, but just "core +100, power +111, etc but why don't people tell their core voltage ?!)
Thank you !
(Please do no not redirect me to the OC guide, I have already read it, I just want to know your voltage to have an idea of the average smile.gif )
People aren't telling their voltage because unless you have the MSI non-reference 670 or have flashed the bios to that of a 680, you cannot raise the voltage of your 670 past 1.175v. So, for everyone here, it has now become common knowledge that people are using the max voltage to reach their overcocks. Unless stated otherwise, people are using 1.175v.

Obviously every sample is going to overclock differently; some samples will have greater results than others but typically, how much overclocking headroom can one expect from a GTX 670 such as this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125423&Tpk=Gigabyte%20GTX%20670 that comes with standard frequencies? Considering the 670 and 680 are voltage locked (Correct me if I am wrong), what is a typically achievable overclock to the processor clock with boost and memory clock?

every card varies on both core and memory overclock. some get lucky and hit 1300+ and some cant get past 1175 on core clock. some cards are reaching 3800 memory while others are only getting 3400. it really is lottery luck on the kepler cards.

i havent seen a 680 bios with a voltage higher than 1.175 either. where did you get the info they had a higher set voltage in the bios ?

For Gigabyte Windforce 670 owners, there are two new offical bios files that add stability.

See my post here. Ignore the comments about overvolting, these are official, standard bios files from Gigabyte.

have you attempted this? i don't want to brick my card!

EDIT: updated my F2 BIOS card with the F4 BIOS and it was "painless" will see if it keeps my current clocks biggrin.gif

those are all modded bios for 670s. the only unlocked voltage bios that are not modded bios is the msi 680 lightnings and supposedly the 670pe which was reported as having locked voltage for some reason.
any other unlocked voltage bios are modded.

so i was bored tonight and decided to see how much of a performance boost I get from stock vs OC.

So we have 2 benchmarks, 1st is stock setting on my EVGA 670 FTW, 2nd is my boosted OC to 1302 core.
100+ pts increase, decent max FPS increase imo.

Can't crank the core clock any higher, won't finish Heaven if I even raise it 1 mhz higher lol.
