You mean overvoltage, or power limit? Because for all but a few cards, there is no voltage adjustment, it is locked at 1.175V.
you have to take it manually to 1.175 to make it stay there, if you remember to. if you dont apply it every time, it is back to default and will not stay at 1.175 causing crashes.
i want to know if anyone has found a way to make it "stick" so you dont have to reapply every damned time you restart.

this is the voltage adjustment in case you forgot wink.gif

What do you mean it won't stay there? Are you talking about it going to 1.16V when the temp exceeds 70C?

i am wondering the exact same thing mate....

this is my initial overclock after reading the master overclocking guide by sean - http://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/37vfn/

i was using afterburner which is very similar for OCíng 6 series from what i can tell..... does anyone know if that resets the voltage or not on restart.

But Afterburner doesn't keep it from dropping the voltage at 70C. Or at least the version I'm running doesn't (2.2.3).

Thats correct there is a firmware that has increased volts to 1.21 & that wont drop at the 70 deg level getting around.

None of the current O/Cing software at the moment holds volts at 1.175 above 70deg.

I forget about the throttling due to having a gigabyte non-ref cooler max of 63deg

So your card doesn't hold 1.175V below 70C either? Below 70C, not at idle, my card holds 1.175V constantly. I'm still curious what you mean by your voltage adjustment not holding on restart. Or did you already flash the BIOS to the higher voltage one you mentioned and that's what won't hold?

No my card holds max boost clock and 1.175V up to 69 deg at 70 it lowers
