Hmm...I was using 1305 on the core and +200 on the mem. Quite a bit of difference on the graphics score.

And this is why I don't put a lot of stock in 3d mark. The scores can vary too much between systems.

how strange!!!

I know everyone is saying the voltage is locked but why does Afterburner give me the option to change it? What does this option do when changed? I guessing nothing...

He didn't even have tessellation maxed. That's the reason there is a gaping difference. It's not on extreme.

You cant change options on the free version i dont think. I ran same settings as him.

However i noticed he has an error about unsupported driver....im using 301.42...i have a feeling hes either using an old driver or a newer BETA driver which is probably why.

Regarding voltage tuning, I cannot speak on behalf of AB, but I can on PrecisionX, they use different methods for voltage tuning but both use NVAPI so likely the end result is similar.

Setting a voltage of 1175mV just ensures that your card will set that voltage under full 3D. Although it is likely that is already happening, can vary from card to card though.

In the case of 670/680, software does not dictate the min/max levels for GPU voltage, so it is not possible for a software application to increase voltage above the 1175mV limit.

If you looked at the date...it's an older run using 301.25 drivers at relatively the same speeds. 5MHz doesn't equate to that much difference in core and 200 MHz less on the mem.
Just ran it again with new certified drivers with same core but memory at +296 is still much less on the RAM..

I notice that only ASUS and Gigabyte 670s are being discussed here. Thought I should share the stock specs of my MSI GTX 670 OC I got yesterday. Wohoo!

I just got my card yesterday and i started benchmarking today and im starting to think i got a bad card. I have one of the EVGA 2GB Superclock versions of the 670 that has been having problems. My temps are crazy even at stock setting i can run heaven twice in a row and 1 will have 63c temps and the 2nd run will have 78c all at stock settings no overclocking and my voltage stays maxed out all the time during the benchmarking. It has crashed a few times also. So im thinking im gonna have to send the card back cause this will not do!!!!! Im not used to the way to overclock these cards sso i havent really tried cause i have no clue how to, it makes me totally lost. oh and my 3DMARK 11 scores wont go over 7300 either and that has crashed also at stock settings. And i noticed a couple of artifacts in the 3D MARK11
