YES, THIS IS HOW THESE CARDS WORK.

Sorry for shouting but practically every single one of the 434 different GTX670 thread talks about this, and I'm getting frustrated repeating myself redface.gif

All these cards have an additional boost beyond whatever you set the boost clock to (or what it's set at stock, in your case). I call this the 'Kepler Boost'. This amount is different on every chip, we've seen reports of values between 0 and 235MHz on 670/680 cards.

In you case the Kepler Boost (or KB for short) is 144MHz (1124-980). Unless you get some kind of throttling going on (like via temps or power limit) whenever you actually run a 3d app, you'll always get +144MHz over whatever the Boost Clock is set to.

And this, DaddyOC, is why I'm asking you and everyone else to NOT just post your Offset, because it doesn't tell us anything useful frown.gif

After I run a windowed mode the results show the resolution as 1920x1064, or 1920x1070.

O i didnt catch that. but its sad because i had to back my OC down a bit because it would get occasional crashes or red screens when i play BF3. So honestly, i think the results that people are posting from Heaven may not actually be totally stable. I looked at my temps, and running Heaven benchmark ups the temp of my graphics card to 60 degrees max, but running BF3 i get max temps of 72 degrees, keeping in mind that im running my fans at 100%. Like most people say, the best way to benchmark is to just use it for what its intended for.

Is heaven maxed out? That seems like a huge temp difference.

Mind running this test? I designed these settings to run 2C hotter on my card than BF3 does. Curious what temperature it gets you to.

Download Furmark

Set it up like this:
115
Run the Burn-in Test for 4-5 minutes until you reach a stable temperature.

Observe max temperature and post them here thumb.gif
