I do not. I have had 4 kepler cards. All I need to do is max the power slider and voltage will always stay locked at 1.175 under load.

I have seem someone say it didn't work with a gigabyte card but that was the only case.

in AB I set the Power limit (power target in precision x) to 111% and the core voltage is at +25.

but i meant is it a good idea to use precision x over afterburner?

Mine hits 1282mhz with dual fan and stock VRM's / no over-voltage.

Fans and vrm won't help if the gpu can't do it. Seems like you might have too much emphasis on that. Heck my first 670 was an asus dcii and it struggled to bench heaven past 1170mhz so real world max might have only been 1100mhz lol. Those aspects are only an issue if the gpu can do 1300+ but is overheating or has crappy power stability, currently with Kepler I dont think custom boards vrm's really help since voltage is locked where it is.

It doesn't matter that was my point. And don't bother with the voltage slider in ab it doesn't do anything.

Actually, to use standard OCN nomenclature (which is to say, the nomenclature that a bunch of us are using tongue.gif) your 'Max Boost' is 1272MHz. And your 'Kepler Boost' is (1272-980-162) = 130MHz.

Hey, that's the same as my KB ... one of the few I've seen that's the same. biggrin.gif

It's not the 'synthetic' thing, it's that different tests (games or benches) stress different components/subsystems of your card. One test might be stressful on ROP's, another on your memory controller, another on the polymorph engines, etc.
