yeah, it's using the base clock as the 2D clock but i have it overclocked though.

i think i figured it out that it was the power setting in the nv control panel and set it to adaptive rather than prefer maximum performance, rebooted and now it's downclocking to 650MHz for it's 2D clock with random spikes to 980MHz.

though I found it strange that when i had one of the monitors in displayport (via an active displayport to DVI) the core clock and voltage would drop to 324MHz and 988mv even though i had set the core voltage to 1175mv in precision-x. but once i reconnected that monitor back through DVI the core clock and the voltage went back up to 650MHz and 1175mv.

Im running 2 Monitors via the DVI ports and my current clock are 324 core & 324 Mem & 0.987V adaptive power setting

i am running 3 so i don't know if that's causing it but i like the constant 1175mv voltage clock though.

I've got the DirectCU II GTX670 NON-Top and I have to say, I'm massively dissappointed.

Base clock 915mhz, boost 980mhz, keplar boost is +130mhz.

But I have to put the power target to 122% (max) to keep it steady at 1110mhz, but it'll still oscillate between 1110 and 1097. Load temp is 69c but thats with the fan at 85% and its LOUD.

So even at stock clocks it regularly exceeds 100% power target.

Cant even add +50mhz on the core as it's way over the power target and the core clock bounces aroound everywhere.

Returning it and getting the Gigabyte Windforce.

You'll be very happy with it !
I can't hear my Gigabyte, but now my Noctua NHU12P SE2 (2x120mm @ 7v I believe) seems loud compared to my grafic card ...

Got really unlucky with my GTX670, as I can't past 1190 if I want to keep it stable with Battlefield 3 frown.gif (some go way over 1300 with their Gigabyte)

Yeah, GB 670 FTW!

cypher, did you max the voltage slider out ?
there are very few asus non-top cards that dont perform well......theres another poster here saying his is crap too. now that i have time im going back and rereading all the posts from the last week

*edit* and i have np idea how you can claim 85% fan is loud. i dont hear mine spin up at all. i did have a 5850 black edition in here though. THAT was loud.

I previously owned the GTX 670 Asus Top which uses the same cooler and that thing was very quiet even at 100% fan speed. With that said I kept the cooler locked at 60% which kept my load temps in the 50's after hours of gaming and that was with an overclock of 1270mhz core.

I own both Asus and GB models....I can guarantee you the GB model is much louder than the Asus at 85% fan speed

Btw, my asus runs 1110 stock and was able to get it to +190 and 1300 effective. Ran with +122 power target over 1 hour of Heaven with zero issues. No throttling either. Power target is around 117%
