[OFFICIAL] GTX 670 Overclocking - Page 98

What drivers is everyone currently using? I am just curious to see what people believe to be the best performing and stable drivers that are currently out. I had a nice increase of 15fps from going from the newest stable driver to the newest beta driver. I was wondering if there are any drivers I could switch to that would give me better stability and performance.

So you can infact overvolt the GTX 680 and 670, if you have a Rampage or Maximus Extreme board. The VGA hotwire feature lets you bypass all those voltage shenanigans and get to the gold.

I was getting a ton of crashes on BF3 with the newest beta drivers. Went back to the latest WHQL and I am running fine.

Hows this looking for my EVGA GTX 670 FTW? I will probably take the time to squeeze out a bit more this weekend but the +70 core and +450 memory are within 10 points of my max before crashing. I'll tackle this my next off day when I start trying to OC my 3570K.

Alright thanks for the replies I'll go back and forth and do some tests to see which will be better off for me.

Also I noticed something weird when I was trying to overclock. I have the FTW model and I was stable at +65 core +400 memory(could go up more but didn't want artifacts). I ran it twice to make sure it was stable. Then I wanted to see if I took off memory I could get a higher core, that failed and now I am unable to get back to my +65 core and +400 memory without crashing. Am I supposed to do a full reboot when I crash? And then when it loads back up re-enter all my offsets? Thanks again for the help.

again guys, stop posting +xxx core. we need actual numbers for core clock. EVERY card has a different default max core clock. only the memory clocks are consistent, 3000mhz

yes doug, full reboot to get back full driver control/support/recovery. make sure you readjust max voltage too. i make sure i double check every time i reboot for any reason. it picks the craziest times to set itself to default voltage.

Sorry I am at work and don't remember my exact max clock, was just using that as an example. Thanks for the help!
