Am I folding for nothing ?

Thread Starter
Trying to participate in the CC, and I'm a new folder. I asked this question in the underway thread but I think it got missed. Here's my setup:

2600K @ 4.8Ghz 37K PPD --- stable

Windows 7 x64 (windows 7 firewall disabled)
VMPlayer 3.0 (FAH image using NAT mode - only way the web setup would work)
Linux FAH VM image (1.3)
HFM.NET 0.9.0

So according to my logs none of my completed WUs have been uploaded to the collection server. A ping of the collection server from the FAH image works fine. Anyone know if I'm folding for nothing ?

Do you use any proxy settings?

Also try running the SMP client with "-send all" flag.

Nope, my router is stock. I can also get to the IP:8080 ports listed in the logfile via firefox as well.

Can you connect to the server directly, through a browser?

And have you tried the "-send all" flag? What was did the log look like?

I could not connect to the server via a browser. I paused the client and switched from NAT to bridged. Now I can connect to it via a browser. I'm 33% done with a 7504 and the client is running again. If I use the ./fah6 -send all command, I get the potential conflict message since the client is already running.

ETA is 2h35m so I suppose I'll wait until this WU finishes and see if it uploads the results since I switched back to bridged mode on the ethernet interface. If that did not work, I'm at a loss here.

Interesting, nice spot. So after I switched to bridged, this now says active, I did not change anything else. ?!?!

You can try killing the client - killall fah6. Then load up with the "-send all" flag to see whether NAT was the issue.
