I7 2600k OC'd to 4.1ghz and GTX 670 on 525 W PSU?

I was looking to uprgrade my GPU to a GTX 670 but im afraid my 525W PSU won't be able to power it. I currently have a 560ti and i7 2600k OC'd to 4.1Ghz and it runs fine. Upgrading PSUs is not an option. I know Kepler is much more power effiecent but it's a much more powerful card aswell. If you guys could help me out that would be great, thanks

Also would a Superclocked edition be viable?

What brand and model 525W?

Typical power consumption is pretty similar between 560 Ti and 670, though current 670 models should pull less in absolute worst-case loads.

EVGA Superclocked is using the reference PCB and is thus limited to Nvidia's cap of 170W draw, so it hardly uses more power than the standard version (and doesn't have much higher performance).

I'd also like to know the power supply model, to confirm if it's decent, but that kind of system won't pull anywhere close to 525W; if it ran with the GTX 560 Ti, it should run with the GTX 670.

I will come right out and say it... I own an !ALIENWARE! (Boo and hiss all you want) that would mean I have some sort of Dell power supply, which are definitely not the best of the bunch.

GTX 670 uses less power than a 560 Ti. (according to anandtech's test system w/ the cards running furmark/occt)

What's the Alienware model though?

I think most Alienwares use pretty decent Delta OEM power supplies. All higher-end Dell systems have good power supplies in them. You're good to go easily, especially since you won't draw anywhere close to 525W.

If you're running a 560ti, you will be fine replacing it with a 670
