Last Night Blizzard was even forced to release an apology admitting, "our preparations for the launch of the game did not go far enough"

The firm's confirmed it will be performing "scheduled maintenance" on the Americas region servers from 5:00 a.m. PDT until approximately 7:00 a.m. PDT today.

On Tuesday the World of Warcraft developer told told fans who still can't log on to the game to "wait and try again".

Its a shame nooone realised it existed till the game released.
They could have launched a million internet petitions to try to get Blizzard to remove it from the game (as opposed to just pre-ordering the living daylights out of it).
An unfortunate turn of events frown.gif

I'm pretty sure they tried that with starcraft II and Blizzard did not listen. Very doubtful they would do it with Diablo III.

Why is everyone supporting draconian DRM!!!

I eventually realized that the whole "voting with your wallet" doesn't work since people will often subject themselves to several inconviniences for the sake of entertainment. Take for example finding the remote control to the TV, tell me you don't spend hours finding it instead of just changing the channel. biggrin.gif

Its the principle.

Everybody hates DRM that requires always online connections.

Everybody.

So why are you supporting this Draconian DRM that robs people of their ability to play their games if internet decides to have a cow?

It's the principle and you're supporting it!

Draconian DRM supporter!!!!

We dont want every publisher having their own DRM platforms! If we support it then EVERYONE will do it and we'll have to click on an icon that doesn't say "Steam" to launch our games!!

Is that what you want? No!

But that's what is going to happen if you dont vote with your wallet, make internet petitions and post bend the truth aggressively in blog posts!!

Yeah, you keep supporting that EVIL, Draconian DRM and making it so paying customers get the worst deals.

Just remember everything is your fault.

Stop flaming in every D3 thread plx. We all got that you don't like online DRM and won't buy games with it. Well it's your right, all the power to you, just stop telling it to us in every 2nd post.

And wrong, Some people don't hate online DRM. I for one don't bind it, cause i have a very stable 100mbit connection and never experience any issues with such DRM. Blame your ISP for bad connection, if it gives you trouble.

As far as launch issues go, no product with such demand can be completely free from them, all it takes a couple of days to make them go away. If you think they can be avoided altogether then you're not being realistic.

I have a right to voice my opinion!

This DRM is one of the most intrusive and Draconian around!!

If we show publishers that we don't care about this EVIL, Draconian DRM, they will ALL do it!

Paying customers will lack and pirates will crack!!

Even GFWL has offline profiles!!!
