Unbalanced volume from satellites

I have promedia 2.1 speakers and I've recently noticed at low volumes, one of the speakers tends to be silent while the other still has sound. I don't normally turn my volume that low, so I haven't really noticed this issue since I've owned these speakers for a short while (couple months). Is this a normal thing? or is something defective? (hope not)

how are the speakers themselves connected? It could be that one of the speakers is wired backwards and has a reversed polarity.

There is a pair of red and black clips on the bass to connect each speaker. I'm sure I connected the positive and negative wires properly or it probably won't even play.

It will play if connected backwards, some speakers will sound almost fine, others will play slightly quieter like you might be experiencing.

It's worth a shot anyway.
