I am a gamer, through and through, that has been getting very old in my viewpoints. If I want to play my game from 20yrs ago that I paid for, I better darn well be able to.

Even if Blizzard guaranteed that the servers would be up as long as they existed, who is to say that they will? How many former greats have gone under in the past? Once you are tied to a publisher, your fate is not entirely of your own making. How many studios has Activision destroyed so far? Thanks to WoW, Blizzard is kind of the favored son, but once that's gone?

I still play the old Ultima games, SNES JRPGs, the Gold Box games and more. Chances are I'll still be playing some of the games that are out now in another 10-20 years. Diablo III probably will not be one of them.

besides this stuff should be non existant anyways for a SINGLE PLAYER GAME.
It is blizzards fault for forcing DRM on us when it is not needed for a single player game.
Edit: Oh, and getting lag and lag spikes in a single player game is absolutely unacceptable. Ty Blizzard.

Not a single problem here since it came up on launch day. There's no need for this condescension. I could easily say "I don't know what game you're playing" as well.

They should have done a better testing on the severs, but dont know why they couldnt have anticipated the large number of ppl. Once the storm settles, hope everything will be all good.

Pretty amazing the same company that runs WoW and 10 million players can't handle this. You would think they could make it better, especially with the devilish DRM.

i still have yet to experience any real issues being able to play. Logged on last night and worked my way to Act 3, without any issues...

i also didn't hit this "game-breaking bug" that has been reported... my warrior/templar has been using shields since i go him, never been booted off the server for it.

I believe you have to be a Demon Hunter, and give the Templar the shield you have equipped for the bug to trigger. Anything else is fine, even if it's just taking the shield off before giving it to him.
