[CVG] Diablo 3 user review average plumits to 3.6 on Metacritic - Page 34

Yes it sucks that D3 does not have offline singleplayer, but that's the way games are evolving. More and more games are becoming all about the MP and not the SP. The reason why D2 lasted so long was because of the online play. Blizzard saw this and capitalized on it. Sorry some of you people don't have an amazing internet, but that's not a reason to give D3 a low score. Its your fault your internet sucks, not Blizzards

I don't think you can blame the customer fault. It is not up to them to setup the line quality and services. It's the ISP that are not servicing better or to upgrade or expand the CO coverage.

just saying.

Then I would've had two seperate versions of the game, one for proper (genuine) multiplayer where I played seriously and the other for fooling around when I was traveling/no internet/etc. I did this with MW2 and Crysis 2, it worked out great. Developers should want people to actually PLAY their games (not just take your money and run off with it) and that's exactly what I was doing in my spare time.
Right now I'm just left with a sour feeling that Blizzard already have my money, therefore I have no leg to stand on when it comes to complaining about the always-online DRM. This is honestly the first time I've been badly let down by Blizzard and that's saying a lot considering they're still my fav gaming company out there.

You sir, are a wonderful human being. Most people on the other hand, are not.

They say it's to keep the items "legit". They want you logged in at all times to make sure your acc is 100% legit.

I call bullcrap because live games give you the option to make an offline profile if you choose to play the game offline and nothing carries over to your real account. Why is that so hard for a company making 150m a month? Either way my net is up 24/7 and if it is ever down for an odd amount of time my iphone can easily hold a signal and decent ping for me to continue playing the game.

I know it's not that way for everyone, and I feel sorry for those gamers, but if it doesn't interrupt my gaming I'm not going to care anymore.

Alot of people can't get cable internet.
Alot of people have poorly set up DSL.
Alot of people are sad because they held high expectations of Blizz and Diablo III but got burnt.(removing runewords, substituting runes via skill runes, removing skill runes from drop table and implementing them into an auto gain on level and choose which to use system, poor optimization of client/servers suck, no user placement choice in skill points or talents like D2 had, no pvp, RMAH..korean cash-shop, consolization of UI...action bar, menus ect, class choice limited to male or female only.. go on and on and onnnnnn...

Anyone else want to add to this list? ^

The game has all the revenue elements typical to a free to play game. Auction house where real money is used, ability to sell and buy gear. The server issues are a bit more understandable, but I even wow has a system in place that puts a timer on players joining full servers.
The other issues seem to be about lack of game depth. You can't distribute stat points and the PVP portion of the game is not even released yet. Even Battlenet friends+chat integration is missing.
To be honest I do not think the game was worth 60$, but I don't feel so bad considering a lot of my friends bought it and I will be playing with them. It really is kind of disappointing to know 100% that there will be a paid expansion pack that will most likely fix all of these issues, to know that you bought an incomplete experience from the get go...

That's a shame.

ALOT MORE people have cable internet.
ALOT MORE people have sufficiently set up DSL connections.
ALOT MORE people are more than satisfied with the product blizzard has released.

like i said earlier....with the sheer amount of players blizzard has flooding into the servers on opening days for their games, there's really no possible way to properly set up their servers to avoid issues. they simply let it happen and fix the problems from there.

and it's better for the entire community that some of the complexity was taken out of the game and made automatic. it makes balancing those things much, much easier and keeps players pretty much on an even keel with each other. min/maxing skill points is a balancing nightmare and makes for players who spend all day calculating things like that to pretty much have vastly superior character builds. and with arena on the horizon...the removal of these complexities will make that more competitive, more based on skill rather than how much time you spent calculating the perfect character build.

and what the hell is the problem with the new UI and action bar? you'd rather only have 2 spells available to you at all times?

and class choice...the entire point of this game is to portray a mortal human doing the impossible. you're not supposed to be some supernatural race.

i don't understand the problem here...honestly. you spent a mere $60 and expect the heavens to rain down gold on your head....rolleyes.gif

So you listen to mostly garbage reviews without even trying it. I applaud you for that.

Most of them never even played, just wanted to give a bad review, some are not even review. Just complaints.

I would take those reviews with a grain of salt, and completely ignore it.
I'm having fun playing D3 solo and with friends. I like the story and challenge it brings.

Why not just enjoy the game and have fun.
