Since Mr. Draconian chimes in on every D3 thread there is with his negative whiny comments, I'll do the opposite and post my positive experience in every one
I've logged almost 24hrs of play from launch until about 9:00PM last night. It took me about an hour after servers went live to get connected, which was frustrating, but certainly acceptable in my book. I played uninterrupted for 7 hours after getting logged in for the first time, no lag, no disconnects.
The few small segments of "Emergency Maintenance" should have been expected, and didn't really both me either. Overall I've had a great experience with the launch, and have no complaints for a game this huge.
As far as the DRM goes, bots and hacks destroyed D2, if this is whats necessary to keep that from happening again, you won't hear a peep out of me. DRM is just one of those things that isn't going to go away, and no amount of whiny nerds are going to change that, if you believe that you can gather enough support to even put a dent in billion dollar corporations pockets, then you should just off yourself.
Whats even more ironic is that the entire reason DRM's were created, was because of the same nerds whining about it. Cracking games, pirating games, creating bots, hacks, and dupes.
I know its a little too general of a statement that ALL nerds are at fault, but there in your ranks, so blame them, not Blizzard.
