Set your i7 to use at most 75% of CPU's and select the proper projects on the Einstein website and de-select Use CPU box. That way, only GPU tasks will run.

I might start running this on my 5750 if it's supported.
Thanks for the heads up.

P.S. Sorry. Haven't been able to crunch in a while. Even WCG sent me an email saying that what's up thanks for donating this and this much computing time and so on and we see that you haven't returned a result in a while why is that LOL.
Currently trying to find some rental apartment and been staying at my moms lol since I can't stand being at the dormitory where I have been living for a while since it's so empty and boring and so on.

Thanks! I'll give it a go.

What would be nice is to allow the tasks that use GPU and a fraction of a core to run with those that are core (or even hyperthreaded parts of cores) reliant to run simultaneously. The tasks that are NVIDIA or ATI enabled usually only takes a fraction of a core. Some tasks claim to take 8 cores to run and hence block GPU tasks. Some take 4 physical cores (one each) and hence also block GPU enabled tasks from running because the last remaining core required to keep the GPU running are busy, which is a waste from a points perspective. Is there any way of reserving half a core or even one to support running the GPU tasks while allowing remaining cores to run tasks that are cpu reliant?

limit your pc to 50% of the threads when you first connect to a project. if you had an 8 threaded system the project will think you have only 4 threads since that is what you limited them to using. then after its started a wu, change it back to 100 or less and you'll get the use of the other threads back.

When I first connect is a bit late for those I'm already running biggrin.gif Thanks nevertheless, I certainly will try it when expanding my projects! I have found MilkyWay tries as best it can to use the GPU while keeping the other cores busy on their own and a mix between MW and Einstein works well too. On my portable, (running nvidia) GPUGRID and POEM work well together (if my wife can stand the noise: even restricting the usage of the cores, keeping an i7 and a graphics card going in a portable does put a strain on the fans...)

Anyone know if my 6670 can run this? I tried others before, but there was some double point math thingy that my card didnt have. . . Id love to fold and run BIONIC as well biggrin.gif
