Open Box items usually do not come with manufacturer warranty support, unless otherwise indicated.

In reference to this.... does anyone know which manufacturers do offer warranty support for open box items?

Gonna be sniping some gtx 780's or 770's soon biggrin.gif

so I got the open box Asus gtx670 for around $295. after advanced replacement and shipping it was only $335 for a brand new gtx670. if u have to RMA with Asus, go the advanced RMA. they will put a hold on our check card but it will falloff after a week. great option and my card is still going strong

did videocards skyrocket in price recently? i used to see 7870s for like 225 new. now this one is 279 open box?! also, i paid 280 for my 7950...344 seems heinous to me. did somthing drastic change or did they come out with some awsome new architechture?

I'm curious about this as well. I paid $250 for a 7950 from Amazon Warehouse, and now the want $288 for the same card.

AMD cards have been in high demand because of crypto-currencies

I have three theories. One is that prices are going up because the 780/Titan are changing what people consider a good value. Another is that outlets are raising prices to price discriminate before the big sales over Memorial Day. And three is that demand is going up as folks are picking up components for Haswell builds. Or it could be something else entirely, like gas prices. So I guess that's 4 theories, sort of.

So I had a PowerColor AX7950 in my cart for $225 open box, but it went out of stock within minutes mad.gif
I then stumbled upon an openbox PowerColor Radeon 7870 Myst Edition for $175! and quickly ordered it. P.S. they're still in stock

If only I could have gotten that 7950...
