I think Diablo 3 is a very good game. My only concerns/wish is that it would have had more levels in "hell" and "heaven" , when i hear the word diablo, i think of the blazing lava and fire pits of hell. The previous two games D1 & D2 did have more hell levels/maps and longer/larger hell maps thus increasing the players duration of time in that hell atmosphere which is the most fun area of all diablo games to be playing in. Atleast for me, and probably a lot of other players, we cant wait to get to that part of the game and play/enjoy those areas the longest.
That area of concern would probably be my only semi-disappointment, cause Diablo 3 has very limited time in hell dungeons, i think consisting of only having 3 hell levels in which are a circular pattern with a descending stair well and 1-2 levels of making your way to destroy a heart. I just wish they would have made twice as many hell maps to really "signify" this is the biggest challenge/crowning/defining area of the game/franchise, that really show the embodiment of what makes the diablo franchise so special is your fight and struggle through the depths of hell.
I really hope they do release an expansion in which you have to fight that evil mage character that you helped bring back to life, but that leads me to believe those will be similar to arcane santuary maps from d2 and the ones already in d3. I wish they could incorporate that fight in mostly exclusive hell atmosphere for close 1/2- 3/4s of the game with the other areas leading you up to those defining stages/levels of the game. Who knows maybe the dark mage will revive the bosses of hell again.
All in all i think the game is very fun to play, just the amount of hell maps are very limited, also i think the diablo demon model used in this game looks like a skinny version of the alien queen from the alien movies, in diablo 1 and 2 he was a thick strong looking demon, now he looks like he has anorexia and is malnourished. At one time when i first saw him I kind of thought he was a talking velociraptor dinosaur then his name appeared as diablo.
I will keep playing and look forward to a release of an expansion story line.
