You won't have any issues maxing out D3 but BF3 will only be playable on medium at best with that graphics card. I'm not saying go way over budget for BF3 eye candy but just an FYI you wont be running it at ultra + MSAA x4. Although you haven't disclosed your monitor size/resolution you will be using so that will come into play as well.

Yes that's a big plus. Still a decent resolution yet less strain on the graphics card compared to a 1080 res.

4GB is plenty for 90% of games but since RAM is still pretty cheap you might as well go with an 8GB kit.

The 6770 is a rebadged 5770 with HDMI 1.4a and a couple of other tiny features, performance is IDENTICAL between them. I'd recommend a 5770 for cost alone if you can find it for $10-20 cheaper than a 6770. Also the 550ti SLIGHTLY beats the 6770 at MOST games while consumping 10-15% more power (very minimal only 10-15w more).
What is your budget?
Where do you like to buy parts from/where do you live?
What is your monitors resolution?
These questions will make it easier to find a better gpu for you.
