And it doesn't matter how wide and open your maps are. You still have to go to point B, otherwise you don't advance in the game. The whole open world argument is pointless as you're still going to the same objective. Woohoo you can roam around for an hour like an idiot for an hour before you decide you want to go to your objective. I just don't see an argument where this open world matters.
Now, games with other objectives and an open world such as a lot of the RPG kind of games, now those are open worlds. Go anywhere, do anything, main objectives, side objectives, go back to previous places you visited and so much more. That's open. At least more so than Crysis or pretty much any fps game.
The corridors may be wider, but they're still there. Like I said, doesn't matter how you get there, sneaking, backwards, sniping, spraying, suicide... you're still going to the same place.

Understood, but my argument was against halo, not whether Crysis was a corridor shooter.
Halo has only 1 way of getting from point A to point B. Kill everything, yadadadadada walkaaaaa, Point B.
Crysis has multiple ways of getting from point A to point B. Sneak through bushes, kill everything silently or just walk away, run and gun, etc.
For this reason, Crysis is definitely much better than Halo. Graphics are always a plus too. Helicopter comes in bound and all the foliage moves and other such details makes the game immersive.
