GTX590 on water to reduce dB and not OC

Will running two GTX590s on water cooling be quieter than the stock air cooling?

I am looking to reduce the dB as much as I can when both cards are under load (which is most of the time).

I assume (hopefully not incorrectly) at stock speeds the 'pump' will not need to be running at maximum because water cooling to designed for OC components and not stock speeds.

Any ideas appreciated.

pumps are very quiet, much quieter than any 590 air cooler - even aftermarket ones.

Depending on how much radiator surface area you have, you can go anywhere from "silent" fans to actually silent passively cooled radiators.

The big question is how much are you willing to spend and how much rad space can you afford?

Thanks.

I was looking at the XSPC 590 block (but still looking for cheaper options), and my Coolmaster CM 690 case can take a dual radiator with Noctua NF-F12 PWM fans, they seems to give very good dB/performance.

I find researching what pumps, connectors reservoirs a bit confusing!

Am all in one, pump,reservoir would be ideal for me (I think).

I wouldn't attempt to do this with anything less than a 3x120mm, even at stock. Especially since you are looking to use low-speed fans.

How much is your total budget? We can make this work with your case no problem, the limiting factor is cost.

I am not too concerened at the cost, but there is a limit to the overall cost. The primary objective is to reduce the dB levels (@ full load) as much as possible.

I choose the Noctua because they preform very well given they low dB and I have them in my system right now and am very happy with their performance.

I have seem a 590 water kit being cooled my a single rad, so I was thinking it were possbile for me to use a dual rad.

But it looks like vapourware as I find it difficult to find anyone selling this. But there are plenty of images and video on the Internet!

It would be nice if people like Corsair to offer in all-in-one water solution for GPUs like their H80 & H100. Also i've seen people adapter these for GPU cooling but I prefer nto to hack away at my 590s.

I was thinking about taking a 590 block and attaching it to a H80 (I have one lying around somewher) rad to see how well it worked. BUt there is a problem with bleeding the system to ensure no bubbles.

You're going to need a real loop if you want to pull this off, and at least 3x120mm rad. There is no way you are going to get good temps with a hacked up H80 or even a H100.

So again, what's your total budget cap?

4 GPU's is going to create a lot of heat. I'd be looking at a bare minimum of 2x 240mm rads. If you want to passively cool the GPU's without fans double the surface area. It's very easy to use a ton of rad space if you don't mind having some stuff outside the case.

I have no budget cap but there is a point when water cooling becomes inpratical.

A few criteria;

1) Be contained within my case.
2) Must be powered the existng power supply
3) Smallest possible reservoir to fit inside my case
4) Low dB

I suppose I could bolt on a rad on the outside of my case, the case has holes for the tubing but this is not a elegent solution. But I would like to keep everything inside. My case has room for a dual rad, nothing more!!

Maybe one option is to put one 590 on water only! Not ideal but it would go a long way to reducing the dB levels.

I'm open to ideas.
