I wouldn't think so, otherwise he might have something more enlightening to say. I guess we'll just be labeled as haters and he'll keep buying always online DRM titles...

Look I hate the fact that single player must be online as well and I'm not a fan of any DRM. But I think you guys are missing the point with Diablo. The biggest reason there is no offline play isn't for DRM, its to minimize hacking, cheating, etc. The account security and integrity of the gameplay itself are at major risk when the hacking is involved. And we all know what happens to the lifespan of a game that's infested with people who cheat.

they could have made a single player profile that doesn't affect the online part but then again the only thing companies care is $$$

I don't know if you're joking, trolling, or worse. If it's just a joke you may want to leave some sort of clue... the smiley face isn't enough to clue us into your state of mind...

Waaah...servers are being overloaded, now let's complain about an extra day or 2 wait and make the entire situation so over-dramatic that we all look like prissy school girls with our tampons in a knot. Grow up and get your nerd rage under control people.

Yup it's not like this could set a new standard of DRM for all games biggrin.gif

There's no pause button, but when you're playing solo the game does pause when you open the game menu (or the achievements panel as well I believe).

I was meaning the Activision conduct their management (Specificaly, Bobby Kotick and the whole IW management fiasco).. Blizzard may be co-owned but its still separate internally iirc..

Blizzard has complete autonomy and Bobby Kotick & Activision have no say in what Blizzard does, at all.

Vivendi does, though.

Read this article earlier... It's pretty interesting, however, the comments are not. Just people typing 20 page responses arguing over irrelevant stuff
