The core OC is average for the 680 but the memory is quite low. Have you tried pushing the memory further?

It's a green artifact that flickers for a split second on the boat pass through (in the beginning) and then on the dragon

I haven't pushed further yet as I was just messing around last night with it ...

What method do you recommend for doing the OC ... ... Do I jump a big number and lower from there or do I do +30 each time ... (running a 5min heaven test after tiny adjustments got to me that is why I stopped)

heh biggrin.gif as I thought those are not artifacts, it is Heaven that want to scare overclockers nothing more tongue.gif.
Mmm... As for overclocking method. try going to +50 on memory and test for stability until it crash or slowdown (because of GDDR5 error-correction; can be fixed by restart, so don't freak out if that happened to you) .
Also don't forget to max out power target and manually set the voltage to 1.175mV. neither will harm your card.

Should I reset my Core OC when doing the memory and find the stable for each then just use them or should I find the stable for my core and then do the memory on top of that ? ... ... What about voltages ?

What do you mean those weren't artifacts ? ... lol

I just bumped the memory to +100 and noticed that my boost clock dropped by 12mhz ?

(sorry if I look like a complete noob, kepler OC'in is very different than what I am used to)

I know what you exactly describe. it is because of Heaven Benchmark and not your PC. It happens to me even on stock settings.
As for your first question finding them separately is the best method but it requires a lot of patience.
As for the 12/13 MHz annoying drop mad.gif it is because of your GPU temp is going more than 70 *C so try to set the fan to the max to prevent it from downclocking while benchmarking, those cards don't like 70+C .

That could explain it. give me sometime and I will report back with driver 306.63 beta. I know it is a developer driver but I want to see if this affects anything.
I agree about the CPU differences, but I was running my 2500K stock. OC'ing from 3.5 to 4.8 netted me 2 points, so I guess I learned that if CPU makes a difference it's minimal.

I'm running with higher clocked GPU/MEM, but the benchmark does complete smoothly. It artifacts a bit, but I'm not being thermally throttled and I'm actively dodging the CRC error. Comparing our GPU and MEM speeds, I can't help but feel like I've got points sitting on the cutting room floor. Your two runs with different drivers still netted higher scores at a lower speed. But where and why? headscratch.gif What's your special sauce? drool.gif
I did find one thing that concerns me. A dip that occurs in all my top runs. It's present regardless of whether I go CPU or MEM heavy. 1350/3780 dip (Click to show)
1343/3848 dip (Click to show)
What's up with that? Anyone ever seen that before?
I'm going to take your advice and do a driver shuffle. If that gets rid of my dip, then I might be at my TRUE max. Thank you for the advice!

Do you think 306.23 has something wrong? Because I experience drastic instability in all my oc presets after updating to it and I wander... Should I get back to 304.79?

I've seen a lot of multi-gpu users complaining about 306.23. But for me it was as good or better in some games like Skyrim compared to 304.79. The only bad thing is that I got lower scores in synthetic benchmarks with it.
But if 306.23 give you instability, I think you should give 304.79 a try.
Also I am wondering did you update MSI Afterburner to 2.2.4? I heard from a lot of GTX 680 Lightning owners this one locks the voltage again.
So if your old overclocks are over-volted with 2.2.3 they might not longer be with 2.2.4 .

Are you sure your clocks are the same? The reason I ask is I saw this in the release notes for the 306.23 driver:

"When using GeForce 3xx drivers and factory-overclocked graphics cards from our partners, some users received poor levels of performance, a result of the graphics card’s clock speed being reduced to idle levels. As with the VSync issue above, this problem is also rectified by the new GeForce 306.23 WHQL drivers."

Yeah I know, trust me. I saw this just in time before making the mistake. Still running AB 2.2.3.
I hope this have something to do with the 306.23 cuze I'm turning back to 304.79 tonight.
Or was it 306.02? Oh darn... I don't remember wich one I was using before 306.23... confusedsmiley.png

The clocks are the same, as I set them in my AB presets (5 slots at the bottom). Not at home so can't tell you exactly the 5 presets but they are sorted as low to high oc.
Basically what happens is 4 of 'em, which used to be perfectly stable back then, are now unstable and crash in unigine. I keep the last preset for testing (extreme benchmarks) and never consider it stable as it is. But now, it's just ridiculous because I had to downclock it near my fourth preset so it can stay stable but I'm still injecting the same extra voltage (which I don't remember because I'm not at home).
And all this madness started after I installed the new driver. I was hopping for slightly better results, but instead I got disappointingly burned.
Before your asking, I used to consider a oc stable when it stay half an hour in unigine without crashing. That's how I was calling my presets stable back then.
