It is just godly overpriced if you ask me... I would rather get a DX.

Just to follow up. 3 out of the 4 people I personally know, thats bought the card have sent it back. This baby is not ready for prime time. From horrid drivers to what seem like ho hum build quality. I tried installed the card on all 4 of my home systems and the card would only fully install on 1 system without having to do a bunch of run around to get it to work. it crashed, BSOD and wreaked havock on my gaming system (RIVE, 3930k, 32 ram, ax1200, 2 x 680 sli and 4 SSD's) The second I plugged in the 6 pin, the system pretty much hated me lol. The moment, I unplugged the card and put my forte back in? not 1 problem since then. I spent 3 days monkeying around with this. The Asus ROG forums are interesting. You guys should check them out. There seems to be quite a few different issues. I will say, the card did sound good, when it actually worked. There is going to be a ton of RMA's i'm afraid.

I got mine friday, and its been awesome. I wasn't expecting much of a difference going from an X-Fi Pro fatality/Fiio E9 combo.. but this thing blew it out of the water. I'm hearing things in game I've never heard before.. and Music sounds awesome. Makes me regret not getting an STX sooner. I'm using it with a pair of HD595's.

I know there are alot of issue's with it on BF3.. but for everything else its been great.

The card did sound good. As for games, diablo 3, BF3, skyrim, mass effect 3 all are having problems.Info is on tons of forums all over, not just BF3. I'm sure this can all be fixed with a better driver but how log is that going to take? Most of us had 30 days to be able to RMA this thing. $200 for a soundcard is pretty steep especially if it doesn't work as advertised and what happens if you get stuck with a turd?. If they can get all the problems sorted out, I'd give it another try. My STX in my music pc sounds great and I've had every top tier soundcard thats ever come out. The phoebus did sound quite good when it was working for music. for gaming
Better then the forte of titaniumHD? not IMO. Using edifier s500, senn 650's and tiamat 7.1 phones for gaming.
It's pretty overpriced for what it is, not that I really care about the price but there will be tons of people that do.
