I need some advice on which gtx 670 to get please

Hi guys first things first.

I have a dell u2711, which as i am sure you know displays a res of 2560x1440

now. Do you think this warrants a 4gb card?

I plan on keeping the card for at least 3 years, as it is costing at least £350 anyway and to me, thats quite a lot.

I am torn between going for the evga 4gb superclocked, and the asus DCII TOP 2gb

the asus has a better cooler, faster at stock and thus much faster when oced, and imo looks nicer.

the only benefit of getting the evga to me is the 4gb

can someone help me out here. thanks

No need for 4 GB, that's just excessive. I'm picking up a catleap monitor with the same res, and everything I'm reading says that a 2GB GTX 670 will handle everything fine.

Anyway, I would suggest this card:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125423

It's a reference card with a non-reference cooler, and faster stock clocks.

I don't see an ASUS DCII for the 600 series. Am I missing something? headscratch.gif

Well look at the reputation of these nvidia companies first. EVGA and MSI are probably the top companies for Nvidia IMO. EVGA because of their good support system, and MSI because of their aftermarket "lightning" cooling. I think EVGA has a lifetime warranty perhaps, not sure, while MSI only has a 3 year warranty. But of course with these uber $400 + cards....the people that buy them usually don't keep them for that long, and sell them off when the next best thing comes around right?
