Defective Noctua NF-F12 PWM.

Hi all
I am from Singapore.

I purchased a Noctua NF-F12 PWM in Feb 2012
Few weeks back i opened up my computer casing to do cleaning and to my notice is that the fan has oil leak all over the frame.
Used to own the P12 for 1year++ and have no such issues.
I using this fan on the coolermaster 212 evo heatsink

My casing has got only 2 fans. 1 CPU fan which is this and 1 Arctic Cooling fan as the case exhaust fan
so the oil cannot be coming from the exhaust case fan which i checked and has no oil on any parts of it.

Some pictures i taken to show the defects of the NF-F12 PWM

Looks like they either forget to install the plug seal or the housing is cracked? Good thing Noctua offers 6 yr warranty, so just return to wherever you purchased. You might also contact Noctua directly and show these pics, I'm sure they will be quite concerned about it.

Hi gymenii
I have emailed to Noctua and even attached these photos to show them
This fan is only 3 months old running fan and it displayed such issues.

Well, 3 months or 3 years shouldn't matter, they should replace it for you thumb.gif

Got the same problem. Oil all over the fan. Going to replace it.

For the information, I bought the fan at the release, so it was quite a new product. I think the problem is now resolved.

well it's now Jan 8 2013 and both my Noctua fans are leaking oil. just great as I already had too rma one of them the first day i got them as i had too use my finger too get the fan too start.
maybe it was a mistake that i listened too all the hype on noctua fans being so good. i also have 2 of their 140mm fans but their not leaking any oil. i just got these fans 6 weeks ago.mad.gif
