NZXT Sleeved LED Cable Problem

Thread Starter
Hi there, I recently purchased one of the White LED Cables from NZXT.
After installation I turned the lights on and was very disapointed with the brightness of the LED's. I looked at some unboxing/review videos of the cable and noticed that my molex power adapter was different from theirs and only had 2 pins, not the usual 4.

Would this be whats making the LED's so dim?

Most likely the problem is that you don't have all 4 pins in the molex connected. I'm looking at one I bought a couple years ago and it does indeed have 4 molex pins inside the housing.

Might be defective, mine should be bright even daytime except the switch is sort of malfunction. It only left me two option, High and Med brightness, the low isn't working.

My older rig has the blue one, it works flawless and it is brighter than my white one.

The one that i had (2m Red LED) was only a 2 pin molex too, not a 4. I actually modded to use a 3 pin power instead biggrin.gif made no change in brightness!

I have a blue 2m with only 2 pins. Works fantastic, almost too bright.

Stupid question, but you have got the switch at the back set to High haven't you?

That picture looks like when I have my lights on the lowest brightness setting.
