Need a good board for i3-530

Thread Starter
Picked a Good i3-530 2.93Ghz CPU from a computer (The board was bad, CPU tested 100% functional), Now I need a board for it that will work with my DDR3 1333 (8GB in total) RAM, And my Nvidia 8800GTS video cards. Preferably ATX. Any brand, As long as it's good, And cheap, and reliable. Also need a good CPU cooler to go along with it.

Well, I need recommendations for a good board, What is the best chipset, etc. It's not the matter of finding one. It's finding one that is good. Someone said fine a P55 chipset.. But didn't say what board would be best.

Correction, you need 35 rep to make a NEW THREAD. wink.gif You can buy and sell all you want in the marketplace, so long as other members are the ones that originally made the threads.

Back on topic, you're going to have a very tough time finding a new 1156 board. Your best bet is to look around the OCN marketplace and fleabay.

EDIT:
If you want something brand new:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138159

That's a great board and will allow Crossfire or SLI at 8x / 8x.

That was actually one of the ones I was looking into. I don't know much about BIostar boards though.

And I wish I had the 35+ Rep. Because I could sell off my AMD stuf and get my i3 suited up. I've tried craigslist with no luck, and I can't sell on eBay either.

Biostar TPower boards are honestly some of the best out there in a lot of cases (especially with overclocking). People tend to shy away though because of the name, but they forget that Biostar has come a VERY long way since being an OEM only brand.

I had the TP67XE (1155 version for Sandy Bridge of that board), and I honestly regret trading it for my Asus P8P67 Pro. I know of some AMD users who use the TPower line as well with great results (890FXE, 990FXE).

Considering that's the only good option on newegg, its not a bad one. I'm just not really sure about that pricetag, considering its older technology.

Yeah, I just gotta figure out how to get rid of my AMD stuff so I can have money for the i3 board.
