Well, the shutter on the 7D is rated for 150,000 clicks. 5,015 is nothing.

7D is tested to...nevermind ^
But just like everything else, it's not guaranteed. Sometimes you get a lemon, sometimes your camera has an immortal shutter that far exceeds its tested limits.

I wouldn't say its good or bad. It really depends on the person and what kind of photography their doing. I do a mix of sports, HDR (9+ exposures for one HDR image) and wildlife. I've had my current camera for just under a month and have used 2500 - 3000 shutter actuations.

No worries this video basically proved the 7D is pretty much indestructible. I wonder if the D7000 holds up the same.

the shutter doesnt last forever and if you shoot tons of video with a DSLR eventually and it takes a long time the sensor will get burned out because its not really meant for tons of video shooting. but dont actually worry because it takes a looong time for that to happen from what i hear

I shoot timelapse professionally and can easily take 15,000 pics on a job. The 7D is a real workhorse.

Yup, the 7D is a great camera and you can thrash it like crazy without a notable performance difference. Was shooting a lot of theatre work with it last year and was pushing around 4-5000 images out per hour on it for dance productions and still runs great.
