Also, did you run it under prime load for several minutes? I found that the voltage was 0.03V greater than the DVID plus the VID stated in ET6 after prime was on for a couple of minutes. I'm not sure why that's happening.

I don't know if you "can control" the voltage but C1E, C3/C6 and EIST all can reduce core freq. and voltage.

They decrease voltage? When I used a fixed voltage, with all of those enabled, it never decreases the voltage.

I really can't answer on the fixed voltage, you would think it would work that way also but maybe not. Maybe sin will drop by and give us an answer.

I do know if you crash using dvid at idle cause your idle core voltage is to low you need to increase the DVID. But thats a diffrent story.

You can't control the idle voltage other than the fact that both idle and load change together when you use offset. The only thing you can do is to control load votlage by increasing or decreasing vdroop by using LLC.

Here is a starting point on how much levels differ.

http://www.overclock.net/t/1247413/ivy-bridge-overclocking-guide-with-ln2-guide-at-the-end

Basically Extreme is almost 0 vdroop
Turbo is 0.10
High is 0.20 and so on.

Nice. Good to know the differences between them all but what does DVID do?

I don't know if this helps anyone but my VCORE is set to 1.260V at 4.5GHz. I forgot what the rest of my settings are. I might check them later, write them down, and then post back.

If you read this post http://www.overclock.net/t/1259334/official-gigabyte-g1-sniper-3-m3-owners-thread-club/1020#post_19304863 I attempt to explain it as I know it from my experiance....G/L

But basically it either rasises or lowers the vcore under load. LLC will also have an affect.

I read that but what does DVID and SVID stand for? Google is no help here.

yea only with offset/auto vcore will drop with the power saving modes, with fixed vcore the vcore wont drop.

DVID= Dynamic Voltage Identification - Older style of voltage control, with DVID there are registers set with resistors or dynamically through a GPIO, or programmed with a digital PWM, and you can set how much voltage you want with those registers.
SVID=Serial Voltage Identification - Newer tech which will automatically increase voltage under higher frequency or load, it is a digital bus, just like DVID. SVID adds on the ability for the CPU to control the PWM's output more closely.

Then you have PMBus/SMBus and others which hook the PCH, CPU, and PWm together.

Why does this have to be so complicated?

I wish they would have implemented a system that would allow you to set idle and load voltages, similar to how it's done on GPUs.
