Why do you dislike the Marvel ports?

I haven't noticed any difference with SATA 3 using these.

Do you have an SSD? They are about 20-30% slower than Intel 6Gbps ports. They also don't support TRIM.

Hi guys,

Purchased my Sniper 3 today. Will get it Tuesday-ish, cannot wait.

This board is ticking me off. When it's running, it's running perfect, but get into the bios for anything and the dam bios just freezes up for no reason. I can adjust anything without it freezing up. I have to adjust 1 thing then wait like 10 minutes, then adjust the 2nd setting...then wait 10 minutes...adjust the 3rd setting....and so on. If I adjust anything in normal fashion it'll just freeze and i have to do a hard reset. This is a recurring problem with this blasted board.

Can't be a power issue: I've swapped out power supplies from a Silverstone Zeus 1200 to a 1350 modular. Same problem.
Can't be a heat issue as my cpu temps are normal (32c idle/50-ish loaded)
Can't be bios files as I've flashed from F6 which the board came with all the way to F10c (beta). Same problem.
Can't be ram issue as I've swapped out modules and also tested with just 1 stick.

I've had nothing but nightmares with the msi Z77 mpower board til I swapped over to this one. Now this one is giving me issues. What the hell is causing the bios to freeze?

So this new Sniper3 i got also does the same thing the last one did; onboard video cause the os to crash on start up. Thankfully, I got my gpu(s) today and it booted up fine and dandy.

Though, I think its still annoying the gpu(s) are coming up a bit mixed. My first card in slot #1 is labeled ast gpu 2A and 2B, while the second one in the #3 slot says its 1A and 1B. I'm not sure if this is an Nvidia cp thing but it didn't happen with RIVE I briefly had. Still running F7. Time to start bumping up the clock to cope w/ the new gpu setup smile.gif
