Look for used sniper3 z77s for ~ $200. Amazon has the warehouse ones for around this price.

When I double click on the 'auto' box nothing happens for these settings, but using your suggestions or 'Page Up' & 'Page Down' seem to let me make changes.

Thanks for the help!

anyone know if this is true?
Where'd you read that? It says nothing about it in the manual. The PLX should be compatible with PCIe 2.0.

I have a Gigabyte G1 Sniper 3, i7 2600k, 16gb ram, and 4 GTX680 installed. Windows device manager only shows 3 GTX 680 and I am trying to make 4way-SLI.
Seems that 3 way works on this board with a 2600k.
Edit: and the guy got 4 way to work eventually as well.

i just saw it people talking about it on tom's forums. that 3 and 4 way sli wouldn't enable because of plx chip with sandybridge and required ivybridge but I couldn't find any concrete evidence on any review site to support such claim

I even saw people say same thing about asus rog z77 board.

I assume that they would put a note in the manual or on the PCIe slots of the board, if that were true. The newegg pics of the UP5 show a warning label saying PCIe slot 3 only works with an ivy bridge chip, so I assume that they would do this whenever something needed ivy bridge to work.

Awsome! MIVE is an awesome board. Probably the best one i had running P67/Z68. If you go water, there's a few waterblocks out there for the MIVE.
