What universal WB would you recommend for this particular board?

Koolance makes a good range of universal blocks for both the chipset and the vrm(s).

The mv-40 has plates that are universal. Koolance does have a mb configurator.

You'll have to remove the stock heatsink and measure the vrm area and find a plate that matches.

Honestly, my sniper3 s pretty good, you don't really need a mb block. Its like a hdd or ram block, more looks then function. I've tried mb blocks before and they don't add much function. Decent air flow over the stock heatsink is fine. If you're hell bent on setting up a loop w/ a mb, get a mb w/ a block made for it. its a much easier path.

edit: find a cheap Maximus IV Extreme or GB UD7 p67/z68 there's full cover blocks made for them. I've seen some used ones on ebay too.

Notice my voltage is dropping significantly. have it at 1.385v for 4.8 but under cpu load, it drops to 1.320 and it crashes. Can't seem to adjust (or find) LLC. Played around with a few settings but some don't even give you an option to change it. I tried Vcore Loadline Calibration and it doesn't change to any other option. Went to the IB oc'ing guide (since they use a ud5 z77) and I tried some of the suggested options to adjust and stabilize (compensating for SB of course) but nothing. I updated to F8 (Sniper logo is gone btw) and it still the same.

You could always try overclocking in offset mode. The voltage increases under load instead of dropping; it's really hard to predict what voltage you are going to get, though.

Vcore loadline calibration works for me, though.

Where do I go for offset mode? i left in auto which does give me a nice low voltage at idle (eist kicks in) but at load it kicked up to 1.5 and one instance to 1.6v (too high for my taste). Really nothing like Asus but hey, gotta make it work.

You set VCore to normal, and then use + - offset in DVID.

Thanks guys, +1

I'll report back on what happens. I can get 4.7 stable w/ vdrop but I really want to push the cpu a bit to cope w/ the gpu setup.

You also have to use LLC to change the idle voltage, AFAIK.
