To be hones there is really not many settings to mess with for the killer card

so i had FIOS and had issues with the bigfoot NIC and i would get kicked out of BFBC2, they said i had to set that game to priority 2 for some reason, as it defaults all games to one and throttles other programs.

Anyways disable application control and it should solve your issue if its something like mine. .

Does anyone know which temperature sensor is on the VRM on these boards? Is it even accessible through software?

Also, to anyone wondering, the PLX chip does work with a Sandy Bridge chip.

Hi guys,

Could anyone please give me some ideas to fix below:

My system is made up of a 3570k, Gigabyte Sniper 3 and 16gig Corsair Vengeance and below.

[AX850]-[H100]-[2xGB GTX 580]-[OCZ 120gb max iops ssd]-[2xWD 2TB Black]-[Pioneer DVD burner]-[Samsung Blu Ray Combo]-[Corsair 600T White]-[Logitech Dinovo Edge]-[G700]-[Z906]

I put it all together and installed windows/drivers fine at stock settings. I then started overclocking. Got upto 4.6ghz no probs with cpu volatage on 1.2 and llc set to extreme, memory voltage on 1.5. All other settings stock. It was priming no problems and max temp according to real temp was about 67.

I then upped the multiplier to get to 4.7 an 1 core was failing on prime so went back to 4.6 which I was happy with. Next step just wanted to see how low I could get the volatage. 1.15 wouldn't boot into windows, 1.18 was also no good and then 1.19 system restarted and was stuck for 5 minutes at the boot logo.

Then the pc kept trying to turn itself on but goes back off after about 3 seconds. The motherboard will not even stay on long enough to give an error code. I have take out each part one by one and re inserted ram etc etc. I have even tried motherboard alone on a test bench and I can see it just keeps turning on and off. I have tried using the bios switch for the back up and same thing happens. I then tried pulling out the cmos battery for 30 minutes and even pressing cmos resent.

I know it is not my other gear and I went back and tested my psu with the paperclip trick and also checked if it would power my old Asus R3E. Really annoyed and am set to request warranty. The Sniper 3 was running the latest F7 official bios.

I would be super grateful if anyone had any ideas? thumb.gif

Have you tried unplugging your hard drive?
Yep I've tried unplugging all. Right now it is on a test bench by itself nothing plugged in except the power. When you power it you can see it come on and the bios led is on then switches to the other bios led and then switches off and then keeps repeating that. Not enough time to post an error code even........this is so weird.....never had any overclock issue like this.....
