I have the same damned issue.

I was having some issues like that. I never figured out why that was happening. I just blame the drivers.

Only game I have issues w/ the audio is Metro 2033, everything else (turned off "crystilizer" option) is awesome. Well, will be a getting a replacement soon, i hope i don't have the same issues smile.gif

I am contemplating just buying a dedicated sound card over that issue. creative doesn't have drivers for this mobo on their site, and gigabyte probably wont be updating the drivers again any time soon...

I bought a Xonar DX, and it actually sounds a fair bit better than the onboard on this card. Then again, my onboard has been pretty dodgy.

I have the same issue in COD Black Ops 2, needless to say it doesn't happen all the time but I would say roughly a 25% of the time. Still annoying as hell. If anyone finds a cure please let the rest of us know.

Thanks

I just caved in and bought a Creative Sound Blaster Z, It'll be nice to have dedicated sound again, but wasn't the onboard on this supposed to be comparable to dedicated?

I think it was. It's a bit disappointing compared to my Xonar DX, but it's still better than the ALC 892 on my other motherboard.

Just my 2 cents on the onboard sound... I have never had a problem with mine. Not sure which drivers I'm using (the disk or gb sites) but the driver is dated 8/23/12 and version 6.0.101.1007. If that helps anyone...

It's just as good if not better than my SB X-Fi Gamer dedi card. But to be honest I was thinking about moving away from Creative sound cards before I bought this board. If I were to have to buy one I would consider another brand first.
